P4 Exit Plaza Relocation

This project is part of Newark Liberty International Airport’s infrastructure improvement program, Work Order 14 to support the AirTrain Newark Replacement Program which encompasses critical upgrades and enhancements designed to support modern operational standards while meeting the evolving needs of the community and transportation networks

P4 Toll Plaza Relocation consists of demolition of the existing P4 Garage exit plaza and installation of new exit lanes with new revenue control equipment within the interior of the ground floor of the garage. Pitcairn Road will be realigned and shifted west. The existing traffic signals at Martin Road and Pitcairn Road will be replaced with new equipment.  The P4 Exit Plaza, adjacent roadways, and associated drainage and utilities will be reconfigured to make way for the new EWR AirTrain alignment.

The project also includes grading, concrete work, paving, electrical, traffic signals, and signage, along with the removal and reconstruction of systems servicing the existing P4 Garage such as plumbing, fire protection, electronics, and CCTV.
